Like geologists dig the earth, a filmmaker digs personal and collective memory of Egypt through the story of Egypt’s only coal mine. Located in Sinai, the land of wars, miracles, and lingering history. She meets the now elderly workers of the sixty year old mine that survived wartime and political turmoil, as she meditates on wandering and learns new meaning of darkness and dreams. A journey in search of light that fades in the times of darkness and despair.
