Hassala is a film production company based in Cairo. We utilize minimal production tools and work as a production cooperative to help independent filmmakers, especially those making long feature films and debut projects. Those who are ready to venture with content that does not flatter prevailing general tastes, and does not seek to be popular without understanding the value of viewership, and its role in changing society's taste and challenging it.

Hassala works to provide assistance to these talented young people who do not have a strong network, and provide them with the information and assistance they need to make their first films. Since its founding in 2011, Hassala has produced more than 15 feature films, ranging from fiction to documentaries.

Hassala organized training workshops on filmmaking in Cairo and distant governorates, and was the first to create a workshop to train young producers. We are active in the legal field, raising awareness among filmmakers about the unjust laws regulating the industry and the need to confront them.
